New machine type "Direct File Transfer", uses WINDOWS built in file copying to send files to networked machines. Both Sending and receiving are implemented. In both directions, there is an option to prompt for the destination location. Files can be loaded saved on any valid drive, local, network, web, or cloud. Works identically to the standard serial communications, so there is no operator retraining.
Remote Mode – No more running back and forth between the computer and the machine. Once in remote mode, all transfers are initiated from the machine tool. A small 2 line "Command program" is entered/edited at the machine. The file is then sent to the computer telling it what to do: Send a file to the CNC, receive a file from the CNC, display a list of available files, send a message to the computer operator.
Quick-link Launcher. This program first loads in a list of any machines that have been defined as a "Remote CNC" type. Pressing [Start], loads a copy of Quick-Link 2013 for each of these machines and automatically goes into remote CNC mode, and minimizes itself. While running you can find and click on the minimized window and see the terminal window for that machine. Pressing [Shut down] or [Exit] automatically terminates ALL running copies of Quick-Link 2013. While not making Quick-Link a true multitasking application, it does allow for multitasking several machines at once.
Supports up to 256 Serial Ports
